Looks from the BCBG Maz Azria spring-summer 2013 apparent during New York Fashion… (Richard Drew / Associated…)
NEW YORK — The collection: BCBG Max Azria.
The inspiration: Femme fatales and Helmut Newton’s atramentous and white photography.
The look: Boudoir bondage. A mix of chambray assignment abrasion pieces (jumpers, jump apparel and jackets) and fluid, cottony ache blouses, skirts and dresses with digitized print, tulle and applique panels — all accessorized with atramentous covering harnesses. Colors included black, white and blade pink.
The scene: A bright advanced row of celebs with Estelle, Selena Ebanks and Olympic sprinter Sanya Richards Ross, who was cutting biscuit ache trousers, a color-blocked blouse and super-high sandals with what appeared to be white affection pads on the abdomen of the straps to accumulate from baking her acclaimed feet. Also advanced and centermost — above retailers and editors and baroque blog stars Bryan Boy and Aimee Song.
The verdict: Mixed. The textural layers of leather, applique and tulle looked ever catchy at times, while some of the assignment abrasion pieces had too abounding pockets, panels and straps. But the brim lengths (just beneath the knee) looked fresh.
